Traveling

But the leisure and entertainment do not stop here. For the more adventurous, our hotel provides the opportunity of renting mountain bicycles in order to take advantage of the 1,945 km of marked cycling trails of varying difficulty, in Karlovy Vary region.

Instead, you may take a stroll along the abundant woods’ paths, enjoying the nature’s splendour, taking some pictures and recharging your batteries.

The region is well-known for its magnificent hiking paths and its 14 climbing routes with a maximum difficulty of “VI” between the towns of Ostrov and Jachymov.

Jachymov, a Spa town within a 3-minute driving distance from our hotel, offers a vast choice of radioactive thermal springs, used for treatments of nervous and rheumatic disorders.

In a distance of 11 minutes by car, Boží Dar, the highest altitude town in central Europe and one of the most popular ski resorts, offers to visitors ski and snowboard rentals, snow-tubing, ski schools and free ski bus transportation between the ski centre of Boží Dar – Neklid and Klínovec, the largest ski resort in the Ore Mountains.

Of course we cannot omit the famous, for many reasons, town of Karlovy Vary which is situated just a 15-minute drive from Honour and Grace Hotel. Karlovy Vary is the largest Spa town in the Czech Republic and a world-class Spa destination, as it is the home of 13 thermal mineral springs used for drinking cures, such as: gastrointestinal diseases, metabolic and neurological disorders, diabetes and many more.

Karlovy Vary, or Carlsbad in English language, has been used as the location for a great number of film-shootings through the years. For that reason, the town hosts the annually “International Film Festival”, attracting fans from all around the world.

Additionally, Honour and Grace guests may satisfy their thirst for knowledge by visiting many reputable local cultural places like the Becher Museum, the Mosser Glassworks Museum, Thun Porcelains manufacturing shops, the Hot Spring Colonnade, the Church of St. Mary Magdalene as well as Castles, Monasteries and Monuments outside the city.

For our sports lovers, the history of golf in Karlovy Vary starts in 1904. The city provides 10 Golf courses around the region (7 of which are 17-hole courses), but also tennis, climbing, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, air rifle, Nordic walking, geocaching as well as paintball and rope centres.
